enumerated data type
Enumerated data types are atomic data types based on predefined value domains. A value domain defines the permissible values and categories for properties based on the value domain. Each category may generate a complex data type, i.e. it may refer to a class associated with the category. Classes associated with categories are based on a common base class, which is the class, the enumerated data type is based on.
